WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

What is .bank?

It replaces our traditional website addresses that end in .com. It was created to ensure authentic communication through bank email addresses and website URLs, providing enhanced confidence, trust, and security.

Why Live Oak is making the switch to .bank

This change helps prevent phishing attacks against our employees, customers, and vendors by providing a clear visual cue for our emails and website. Going forward, you will know it’s us whether its email addresses or webpages simply look for .bank . If it's not .bank, it's not us.

Why .bank is more secure

Only banks that comply with strict security requirements can have their website address end in .bank. The .bank extension acts as a visual authentication cue, enhancing protection against common cyberattacks like phishing and domain spoofing that can lead to identity theft, business email compromise, and fraud.

Do I need to do anything differently with .bank?

Simply look for .bank in Live Oak's email address and website for authentication. Update your bookmarks to the new website address. However, if you do visit liveoakbank.com, you'll automatically be redirected to our new address.

Why haven't all banks moved to .bank?

The decision to adopt .bank is a business choice made by each individual bank based on their priorities and resources.
